Our Mission: The Phoenix Program operates as part of the St. Vrain Valley School District. Our mission is to provide a comprehensive, structured, and positive academic and therapeutic environment with individualized and strength-based services for students to gain the tools needed to achieve their potential. Our goal is to teach students to effectively self-regulate, problem-solve, develop positive interactions with others, and increase classroom coping skills.
The Phoenix Program provides services to students with significant social-emotional needs, elementary through high school age. The school operates on the traditional St. Vrain Valley School District calendar.
In the Phoenix Program, students receive traditional academic instruction in Math, Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, Physical Education, Music, and Art. Additionally, students are provided with affective education and therapeutic services which includes individual, group, family coaching and support services. Occupational therapy and speech/language therapy are provided as indicated in the student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP). Through the combination of social/emotional services and academic instruction, our goal is to provide each student with the necessary skills to make healthy, positive life choices within the school setting and the community.
The Phoenix Program is based on the development of healthy relationships with the student’s peers and adults. We encourage each student to feel a sense of belonging and to take pride in what they can contribute to the Main Street School community. The staff at the Main Street School strives to help students learn from one another and support each other to be strong, successful members of their families and the community.
