Our Mission: The Phoenix Program operates as part of the St. Vrain Valley School District. Our mission is to provide a comprehensive, structured, and positive academic and therapeutic environment with individualized and strength-based services for students to gain the tools needed to achieve their potential. Our goal is to teach students to effectively self-regulate, problem-solve, develop positive interactions with others, and increase classroom coping skills so they can return to their neighborhood school.
Life Skills ACE provides post secondary transition services for students 18-21 years of age, who have completed their high school credits and have socially graduated. Our program focuses on building independent living skills, social skills, career/employment skills, community based education and functional academics. There are three different pathways in our program including community based, vocational, and college/career. Students participate in pathways according to their post-secondary goals.
The St. Vrain Valley School District Audiology Department employs two full-time Educational Audiologists. They are credentialed through the Colorado Department of Education and have the knowledge and expertise to provide audiological services to students who are birth to 21 years old.

Alternative environment but not alternative rules
Clear boundaries, expectations, and consequences are explained to students and parent
Consequences will be followed through with consistency
Parent involvement is important to student success
Participation at intake meetings to receive information about DLA and its policies
Communication between DLA staff and parents through Check and Connect
Important note: Placement at the DLA is by home school referral with approval by area assistant superintendent.
The Sierra School at Main Street is an in-district model working in partnership with St. Vrain Valley School District. The program services students in grades k–12 with autism spectrum exceptionalities and specific learning disabilities.
