I was born and raised in a small, mountain town in Central Colorado.  My mother was a teacher, and I had a passion for learning and knowledge from a young age.  After trying several different vocations and locations after college, I returned to my native Colorado and began substitute teaching in the St. Vrain Valley School District.  I immediately fell in love with working with students in the day treatment setting and accepted a job as a behavior coach with the original incarnation of the Main Street School.  I went back for my master's degree and began teaching in the Main Street School transition room in 2013.  As the Instructional Coach and the Gifted and Talented liaison for the building, I am excited to blend my passion for knowledge and instruction, my belief that high standards should be held for all students, and my commitment to collaborative learning for myself and others into my job.  Education:  BA in English from the University of Colorado, graduated Summa Cum Laude.  MA in Special Education--Generalist from the University of Northern Colorado.  Highly Qualified in English and Social Studies and Gifted and Talented endorsed through CDE.
